#BostonArts Flash Mob

On Thursday, June 2, 2011, the Boston Foundation held a luncheon and evening reception to welcome the arrival of its new Senior Program Officer for Arts, F. Javier Torres, to the Greater Boston arts community. In honor of F. Javier’s arrival to the Foundation, Dennis Scholl, Vice President for Arts for the Knight Foundation and nationally-renowned thought leader around cultural community programming, attended as a special guest speaker.

To acknowledge Mr. Scholl’s commitment to and value for “random acts of culture,” the Boston Foundation’s  staff prepared a surprise flash mob sequence in the lobby of its office building in the Back Bay, complete with a performance cast of singers and dancers representing varied genres, including: Rainbow Tribe, Status Quo, The Genki Spark, The Handel & Haydn Society,  and various singers from Berklee College of Music.
